Your Job:
As an E-commerce & Apparel Demand Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of our e-commerce strategies, financial strategies and product assortment plans to meet runners’ demand and drive revenue growth in EMEA. You will also be responsible for forecasting and demand planning activities for our apparel business in EMEA, for which e-commerce is the biggest distribution channel.
In this hybrid role, you play a crucial role in ensuring that we have the right product at the right time to meet our customers’ needs and our business goals. You blend historical sales trends and patterns with insights from our Product and Sales teams to develop SKU level plans that reflect larger company objectives. You have a deep understanding of the end-to-end planning process and are a key partner in ensuring a smooth flow of information from consumer and retailer feedback to product planning and finally to demand planning implementation.
Organized and detail oriented, you are responsible for cleaning and connecting our sales and product data into manageable datasets that support our sales and demand modeling. You constantly strive to improve and streamline the flow of information and automate repetitive and unnecessary tasks.
You have a thorough understanding of the retailer mindset and collaborate with Sales and Product partners to identify patterns in the market and bring channel and product level insights to light. Visual and communicative, you are adept and comfortable in analysis and dashboard building in both Excel and Tableau. You have a knack for identifying trends and patterns in the data and are comfortable challenging assumptions. You thrive on collaboration and are a natural problem solver.
Your Responsibilities:
- E-commerce Retail Planning:
- Own seasonal and rolling SKU-level forecast for the e-commerce channel and contribute to the monthly S&OP cycle supporting the facilitation of monthly demand reviews.
- Support the execution of e-commerce financial strategies that are in line with the company's overall business goals.
- Participate and contribute to weekly trade meetings aimed at reviewing business performance versus targeted goals, analyzing the data and providing recommendations on actions.
- Create detailed reports and dashboards that track e-commerce sales, customer behavior, and other relevant data; analyze the data to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
- Work closely with E-Commerce & Trade manager, EMEA Supply planning to ensure that e-commerce inventory is optimized to drive sales growth.
- Apparel Demand Planning:
- Demand Planning, Forecasting & Data Management:
- Own seasonal and rolling SKU-level forecast and demand planning communication for your category for the Apparel EMEA business. Create dashboards to share weekly, monthly and quarterly forecast consumption, accuracy and other trends from the channel/product category level down to customer and SKU.
- Support monthly demand planning process through forecast input aggregation, data validation and summarization.
- Contribute to the monthly S&OP cycle by supporting the facilitation of monthly demand reviews and delivering consensus on the monthly demand plan update.
- Act as a resource for Brooks data reporting (EDW and Tableau based reports) with proficiency in reporting against forecast, invoice, orders, and sell-through data.
- Manage and maintain product line list attributes that support planning development.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product and Marketing as needed to gather cross-functional data and aggregate into usable data sets.
- Problem solve issues and maintain demand planning tools.
- Continuous improvement, x-functional collaboration, and special projects:
- Act as a key contributor in the development of demand planning best practices to identify, standardize and automate key planning inputs.
- Maintain and improve forecasting models and methodology by reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, and developing forecast models.
- Work with Merchandising/Product to bring data driven insights around line plan productivity, width, gender, and SKU strategy to influence line plan efficiency & optimization.
- Collaborate with Country (Business Planners/Sales) & EMEA business planning to understand current retail sales performance and marketplace developments and it’s impacts on demand plans.
- Be part of the integrated planning community to share demand insights, identify planning best practices and develop world-class standards for efficient execution.
- Contribute to the global S&OP transformation project to implement global Demand Planning system.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a retail & e-commerce sales analysis/planning related field.
- Experience with adoption and implementation of Demand Planning systems.
- Tableau proficiency: dashboard design and creation, data cleaning with Tableau Prep.
- Well-developed quantitative skills with an aptitude for report-building, data mining, and interpretation.
- Strong computer skills, including proven mastery of Microsoft office suite.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a resourceful professional style.
