Job Description

Revelyst, the future standalone Outdoor Products company at Vista Outdoor is a collective of makers who design and manufacture performance gear and precision technologies. We are looking for a skilled Director, Field Sales to join our Adventure Sports platform. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and execution of North American strategies for all Powersport Dealers/Customers in the East Region. This position will secure and maintain strategic Powersport parks and endemic properties/events that help build brand awareness with the loyal consumer. You will also be responsible for the planning, day-to-day operations, and management of east region sales reps in the U.S. The Director of Field Sales will partner with the Wast and Canadian Directors of Field Sales to lead the strategies for all categories. This will include the development, implementation, and execution for North America. You will work closely with senior management to ensure strategies are understood and executed against in the North American field to deliver annual Key Performance Indicators and set the team up for success.

This position reports to the Sr Director, Powersports North America and located in our Irvine, California office.

As the Sr. Director, Powersports North America, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Develop plans to deliver annual net sales and contribution plans for the region.

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute sales objectives, strategies, and marketing programs to gain market share.

  • Develop and lead strategy process regarding competitive environment, account sales/development strategy, and territory progression.

  • Aggressively research, identify, qualify, and target potential new accounts, delivering on a new account goal annually.

  • Effectively manage all trade, visual merchandising, and selling expense budgets.

  • Manage overall planning process including strategic planning, target development, customer tactics and retail execution goals. Includes MX Dealers, Independent Bike Dealers, Lifestyle customers, Parks, and Endemic Properties.

  • Manage overall sales forecast process throughout the year to measure achievement vs. AOP and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Deliver Fox Freestyle placement goals – manage the process from end to end by identifying targets, collaborating with the reps on financials, securing the contract and executing for growth, so the targeted ROI is delivered.

  • Work with the Finance Director to review and assess business opportunities as they emerge by leverage financial data and understanding to inform trade spending and investment decisions.

  • Understand and leverage key business data sources and draw appropriate insights as well as internal reporting.

  • Development of Beach Head Markets – Delivering above-plan growth in key markets.

  • Develop and Maintain MX Raceways/Powersports Parks/Endemic Accounts.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Outside Sales Representatives, providing guidance, setting performance goals, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.).

  • Strong market presence and will have built up a history of successive promotion and recognition over a 7 to 10-year period of professional experience.

  • Experience working in the industry. Having strong relationships with the major partners is preferred.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years' visual merchandising experience with proven record of sales success and history of accomplishments.

  • Experience in the actions sports, wholesale apparel or retail industries preferred, but not required.

Pay Range:

$118,200.00 - $185,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
