What you will be doing:

Oversees the development of manufacturing processes and procedures. Specific areas of focus include working with manufacturing, quality, and product engineering to achieve continuous product and process improvements.

• Supports new product development (NPD) to create a smooth transition from R&D to Production.
• Production line set-up, including critical thinking of existing line set-up
• Working on manpower balancing, process time, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing, minimizing process errors, line balancing, and production efficiency
• Conduct production process review to ensure the production efficiency and on time delivery, materials optimization, optimum line layout and overall manufacturing process flows
• To Work closely with external resources and suppliers, including sub suppliers, covering line layout, flow of materials, storage of WIP, inspection stations, optimum station layout and manpower balancing.
• Ability to create a trial review / root cause analysis reports as well as provide solutions on plastic & stamping part)
• Ability to work with metal and plastic parts, assembly stations, testing stations and able to convince suppliers to make necessary changes with desirable results
• Ability to read electronic components datasheet, assembly drawings preparation, mechanical assembly, and ensures a clear working instructions to line operations.
• Ability to help set-up manufacturing lines and make recommendations, and changes, and work with all levels in supplier

Dimensions / Scope

• Develops manufacturing plan & process mapping by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow and equipment layout.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods and process capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working in production line as engineer or supervisor
