The purpose of Peak Design is to create happy, meaningful lives for the people that work here. We believe this purpose can only be achieved when self-actualizing, highly stoked people enthusiastically step into (or log onto) the Peak Design office every day. Our purpose and our mission go hand-in-hand and we encourage and celebrate authenticity and the unique perspective each of our employees brings. We’re a close-knit team that thrives on mutual respect and the belief that every voice matters—especially when it’s got something interesting to say.
We make radical, meticulously-engineered gear for detail-obsessed people. Our backpacks, travel bags, camera gear, and phone accessories are used dang-near everywhere. If you’ve visited Machu Picchu, Tokyo, or an REI store in the last 10 years, you’ve been within ogling distance of a Peak Design product.
Alongside our award-winning gear is a brand that truly reflects who we are as people—passionate about design, deeply caring about our environmental and social impact, unafraid to speak up, radically transparent, and generally down to clown. Whether we’re explaining a product, running a sale, launching a nonprofit, sponsoring a film, or razzing the biggest company on Earth, we do it with our trademark honesty, warmth, and wit. Through our products and our brand, we aim to create delight, and leave this world better than how we found it.
Our Visual Merchandising Team is growing and we’re looking for a passionate Visual Merchandiser to drive the production and implementation process of our exciting product launches, seasonal initiatives, and other VM projects across Retail, Wholesale, and Tradeshows. You’ll work alongside designers on our Brand Team, collaborate with US and International cross functional partners, manage external vendors, and coordinate with field teams to bring our 2D / 3D visual elements to life.
You’ll own the creation of installation guides that include all of the essential details and provide clear direction for field teams to implement each project as well as manage the photo feedback process. You’ll have the opportunity to physically lead tier 1 installations in key markets and utilize your store environment expertise to ensure flawless execution. You’ll also work closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager to develop and deploy maintenance programs to elevate and maintain best-in-class presentations across all channels. If you enjoy the production process and are into the intricate details of bringing highly creative elements to life, we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the production and implementation process of visual elements including signage, POP’s, product displays, window installations, and other 2D / 3D elements
  • Create, maintain, and publish installation guides for product launches and VM related projects
  • Partner with the Brand Project Manager to ensure alignment with go-to-market timelines and overall project deliverables are met
  • Collaborate with internal teams, to ensure all production files are accurate and ready for external agencies
  • Work directly with external vendors for production, timelines, prototypes, and budgets.
  • Oversee the implementation process and ensure Field Teams have all of the information, documents, and elements they need to successfully execute each project
  • Participate and/or physically lead select installations as needed (e.g. store openings, tier 1 initiatives, etc.)
  • Build and maintain a process for photo feedback to and from the field teams
  • Work with the VMM to develop field maintenance programs and documents including standards and maintenance checklists

About You:

  • 3+ years experience with a dominant focus on Visual Merchandising
  • A keen eye for design details, spatial orientation, and layouts in physical spaces
