JOB SUMMARY

As a Bike Event Mechanic, you are responsible for maintaining and managing marketing and test bikes, including assembly, cleaning, and repairs. You will coordinate event logistics, manage inventory, and provide technical support to riders, Specialized employees, and partners. Additionally, you'll assist in event setup and support, ensuring all equipment and materials are prepared and transported efficiently.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Provision, maintenance, and upkeep of marketing bikes (assembly, cleaning, and repair)

• Regular inventory control and maintenance of the test fleet and other event materials

• Coordination and fleet management of test bikes with Specialized dealers and event partners

• Coordination and warehouse logistics of materials for various events

• Management of the bike and accessory inventory, as well as all consumables for the workshop

• Order management with our partners and B2B

• Technical support for athlete and ambassador management

• Independent organization and execution of smaller events, as well as providing on-site mechanical and support services at events

• Consultation, support, and interaction with riders on-site at various top events throughout Switzerland

• Logistics and transportation of event materials – preparation, loading, and driving of event vehicles to the event location

• Setup and takedown of the event setup

• Assistance in other departments of the Swiss market as needed

• Technical support for Specialized employees

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO WIN

• Apprenticeship as a bicycle mechanic or equivalent training with good technical understanding

• Experience in the event sector is an advantage

• High awareness of quality and customer service

• Pro-active, independence, and flexibility

• Team player with great communication skills and a hands-on mentality

• Willingness to travel frequently, including on selected weekends (compensation possible)

• Driver's license category B, category BE is a major advantage

• Excellent knowledge of English, German, and French is an advantage

• Passion for the bike industry and the Specialized brand
