Senior Director, Product Management, Apparel (Global TNF)

What you will do

As one of the senior leadership team members in global apparel TNF, you will contribute to the creation of the product vision while developing, driving and executing the global product strategy and line plan for apparel. You will influence partners and functional leaders to take action in support of the product strategy to drive profitable growth and brand distinction. Your expertise in product management, market analysis and industry trends will play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional products to consumers. The clarity of future vision you bring to the team will be shared with key stakeholders and partners as you lead creation of the 3-year plan, seasonal line plan direction, and franchise plans. You are a business leader with a passion for delivering industry-leading solutions that align with our brand’s vision and values. This senior level role requires exceptional leadership, communication, collaboration influence skills.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Drive creation of the 3 year plan and communicate business initiatives, objectives and direction to the team as well as stakeholders
  • Champion the creation of high quality products and excellence in both the strategy and process in order to achieve the highest standards of apparel
  • Partner with finance and planning leaders to ensure financial target setting is achievable and fiscally appropriate, driving profitable growth and productivity
  • Monitor progress toward plans and adjust as needed; ensure critical information is communicated out to cross functional partners and leadership when plans change
  • Boldly make trade off decisions that protect athletes and brand
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement promoting professional growth and development of the team
  • Work in close partnership with Global VP Apparel, Senior Design Director, Senior Merchandising Director, Senior Development Director and key stakeholders in EMEA, NORA and APAC Offices
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Supply Chain leadership to drive alignment and ensure effective commercialization of deliverables
  • Manage short, mid and long-term projects while providing regular updates to key stakeholders
  • Ensure your team can executive effectively by clearly defining and aligning on the right scope, briefs, KPI’s and deliverables, while mobilizing the right resources to achieve success
  • Ensure you and your team remain current with competitors, marketplace and consumers globally
  • Partner with HR to recruit , onboard and develop top talent, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and capabilities to drive success

  • What You Will Bring:
  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
  • 15+ years of experience in apparel as a business leader with major business driving functions including product management, merchandising, and product development
  • 10+ years proven management experience leading a team in line planning architecture from concept/ design through sell-in while adhering to strict timelines in adherence to the product calendar
  • Deep performance, active and/ or outdoor industry knowledge, being able to act as a market expert for the business
  • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
  • Strong instinct and passion for product, blending art and science with a consumer centric approach to decision making
  • Abreast of industry trends, consumer insights, and global market dynamics to identify new opportunities and drive innovation
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics and profitability analysis
  • Think and act across functional borders
  • Creates appropriate sense of urgency to ensure both short and long term results
  • Excellent collaboration skills, including a proven ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Superior ability to inspire and build a mindset and culture of innovation within your team and beyond
  • Develops future leaders and holds others and self accountable for developing and retaining high performing, diverse individuals and teams
  • Strong product acumen and aesthetic with working knowledge of apparel product development processes, including design, development, sourcing and manufacturing
  • Proactive approach to identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best solutions with a values driven commitment to do what is right
  • Able to make tough decisions and take calculated risks while holding others accountable for making sound decisions
  • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving

Pay Range:

$190,080.00 USD - $285,120.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential:

This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.

Long-Term Incentive:

This position is eligible to participate in a Long-Term Incentive Plan. Specific details of the plan will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
