Senior Software Engineer – Commerce Engineering

SFCC Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer with hands on experience on B2C application transformation and Javascript technologies to help with ongoing development with our engineering team. The engineer will be working closely with product, architecture, engineering and business teams to develop and implement cutting edge solutions.

Required Skillsets:

  • Minimum 10+ years of work experience in B2C System with Javascript, Node JS programming.
  • 2+ Years’ experience in implementation of eCommerce solutions.
  • Experience with configuration and development using any B2C commerce platforms components, agents, services, API's, related interfaces.
  • Experience in creating technical design documents for B2C commerce platforms.
  • Hands-on experience programming with XML, SOA, REST, JSON.
  • Experience in Java/EE and specifically in developing Java based extensions of B2C commerce platforms.
  • Proficient in tools like Eclipse IDE, SoapUI is required.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology and tools like JIRA, GitHub/Bitbucket
  • Data delivery mechanisms using FTP, HTTPS, REST, Webservices, and Queues
  • Ability to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction is preferred.
  • Strong team player with good communication & interpersonal skills.

Desired Skillsets:

  • Training/Certification on Salesforce Commerce Cloud is desired
  • AWS Cloud integration experience is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead an B2C Commerce / SFCC development engineering team by an example with technical competency
  • Develop and maintain the technical roadmap for the B2C commerce application key milestones from engineering developments
  • Serve as a core member of an engineering team that develops software applications.
  • Work with Salesforce Commerce solution architects’ resources to review the key design deliverables
  • Develop the code, write unit tests, work on automating solutions, conduct code reviews and help with testing as needed.
  • Perform proof-of-concepts in new technologies and keep skills current
  • Be the technical B2C commerce Subject matter expert (SME) face across eCommerce ecosystem to represent the team
  • Actively collaborate with upstream (Mule, FE) and downstream application (OMS) leads to orchestrate any integration related design & development work from SFCC perspective
  • Work with external 3rd party vendor integrations support teams such as Cybersource, Monetate, etc.
  • Coach and mentor in-house software engineers as well as vendor developers & testers to enforce design, code and test quality standards
  • Responsible to manage and maintain the development & quality engineering metrics of SFCC to the industry standards
  • Provide on-call production support as needed.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience required.
