ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

The Senior Costing Analyst, Brand Costing working in a country of product manufacturing and co-located with VF product development teams, will be a part of the Costing Management function in the Global Product Costing organization. Located at, Ho Chi Minh,] the associate FTW is responsible for development costing operations that support 100’s of millions of dollars’ worth of product cost across several VF brands in the Footwear category. This professional will support modernization and standardization of costing approaches utilizing consistent data-driven, automated, and efficient processes in partnership with VF product sourcing teams and product supply Vendors in country of manufacturing. This individual will bring a strong product and manufacturing background and will work closely with the product sourcing and development teams on designing to cost to achieve product cost savings for the organization. This individual will fully leverage “One VF” scale through use of harmonized and scalable fact-based costing methodologies. The costing professional will play an important role in the Product Costing Organization with an extensive focus on development cost optimization. The individual will partner closely with other functions in the Costing Organization and product supply teams to ensure process and best practice adherence.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Include but not limited to

  • Product Cost Ownership: Understand Brand’s needs and proactively work with VF’s vendors for product cost improvement through Seasonal costing milestone review, Cost Saving workshops and other initiatives
  • Support Sourcing Activities: Support Costing exercise for strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Operations: Manage seasonal development costing activities, support with information for negotiation with vendors and cost related analysis.
  • Profitability: Utilize insights provided by the Costing Intelligence team and the Operational Costing team within GPC to identify opportunities to design to higher profitability.
  • Connectivity: Support connectivity and information sharing among Product Vendors, Sourcing, Global Material Supply, Finance, Engineering and Suppliers that enables a valuable One-VF Global Costing Strategy.
  • Team: Collaborate and align across the GPC organization as well as with product supply teams and vendors through continuous communication and proactively bring forth ideas for process improvements.
  • Process Improvements: Achieve improvements in costing activity productivity and efficiency through eliminating redundancies, automating repetitive tasks, and optimizing processes for maximum value.
  • Standardization: Ensure processes adherence across all brands and regions to leverage one-VF scale and operating procedures across the enterprise.
  • Project Leadership and participation: Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives and conduct specific analyses as needed producing deliverables in a diverse, fast paced environment through extensive collaboration across teams.
  • Training: Provide Costing training to internal stakeholders and GPC members to build capability within organization
  • Tooling Cost Management: Manage seasonal mold rate and reconciliation report
  • Travel: In country to Vendors

Skill Requirements:

  • Min 5 years of experience in industrial footwear manufacturing/ buying office/ trading company required
  • Knowledge of Footwear manufacturing operating costs required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Eager to learn and adopt new methods, tools, technologies
  • Good communication skills: diplomatic, open, good listener, direct, succinct
  • Min. Intermediate level MS Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Table) and good Powerpoint Skills
  • Language Proficiency: Oral and written fluency in English
