We are looking for a GL Accountant to join our team based in London (UK)

Let's talk about the role!

This position is responsible to manage all the accounting for one of our brands covering operations in the UK and EU companies (including France, Germany and Netherlands) including all statutory and fiscal obligations for them.

How You Will Make a Difference

Your main responsibilities will be:

• General Ledger bookings.
• Account reconciliations.
• Management of local authorities’ letters received in the country
• Review accounting accruals.
• Lease Accounting bookings and reconciliation.
• Payroll bookings in countries of operation
• Statutory Accounts preparation & Audit requirements
• Tax preparation for the entities of the brand.
• Tax payments and reconciliation
• Reconciliation of VAT declarations & SAP VAT (Local & USGAAP calendar).
• Cooperation with external consultancy
• GL setup and chart of accounts

Skills for Success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

• Education: Bachelor's degree or High School Degree with relevant professional experience in UK accounting.
• Qualifications: ACCA or similar Accounting qualification
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role (4-5 years), managing UK accounts (mandatory).
• Language skills: Fluent written and verbal English, an additional European language would be a plus
• Advanced MS Office knowledge, Excel is a must.
• Proven ability to plan and work independently while balancing shifting priorities.
• Strong analytical skills.
