JOB TITLE: Operator, Warranty Repair
The primary responsibilities of the Warranty Repair Operator are to repair all technical apparel and equipment to as close to original condition as possible while maintaining the highest level of quality.
How You Will Make a Difference:
- Undo stitching of damaged apparel/product needing repair, clean loose threads and provide necessary materials for replacement of damaged apparel/product pieces.
- Repair damaged products returned to warranty to as close to original condition as possible and maintain the highest level of quality in the repair action taken.
- Take note of repairs and or other damage and defects in apparel/products that may have been overlooked during initial evaluation.
- Ensure all apparel/products are scanned into and out of inventory management system (AS400).
- Assist with special projects as directed. Other job duties may be assigned.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-3 years preferred, on the job training available.
Educational/ Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of The North Face & Jansport
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of single-needle, double-needle, hot-press, grommet and snap machines preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of baffled down garment construction and repair.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
- The job is performed as a sit down/stand up position and the operator rotates between the two positions constantly.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
- You must not be allergic to poultry feathers.
Hiring Range:
$12.12 USD - $15.15 USD per hourIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
