What you will be doing:

The role will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Regulatory and Liquid technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for all compliance documentation required by the individual states, federal and other governing agencies in support of our Beauty & Wellness liquids business. This work includes input and management of all data required for compliance with the above.

  • Assist with all aspects of US Federal and State product registrations and notifications (California Safe Cosmetic Program, MOCRA, etc.) for Helen Troy's liquid beauty products. Coordinate and handle regulatory requirements for exports.

  • Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Contract Labs, to ensure smooth transition of required regulatory documentation. Review all documentation for accuracy and organize and file in internal database.

  • Support Beauty Liquid regulatory affairs to develop/update document tracking programs and associate processes. Work with Quality to modify and adapt existing procedures to meet Beauty Liquids needs.

  • Lead obtaining and tracking of Non-Government Organization (Leaping Bunny, Vegan, Clean Beauty, etc..) requirements and certifications.

  • Monitor and remain current on ongoing regulatory changes, and standard methodologies through literature, trade journals, professional associations and communicate to the team as necessary.

  • Assist evaluation of cosmetic raw materials and formulations, to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

  • Perform other regulatory tasks as assigned.

Skills Needed To Be Successful:

  • Open to learn; curious

  • Ability to understand and interpret regulatory standards

  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and draw conclusions

  • Perform with minimal direction

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3+ years of regulatory experience

  • Understanding of OTC and cosmetic regulations in Personal Care Industry

  • Familiarity of global cosmetic regulations

  • Exposure to regulatory processes and software to facilitate compliance

  • Strong attention to detail; be able to multi-task

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, notably, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Functional/Technical Expertise

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Personal Care industry
