As the only national organization dedicates to expanding, preserving and promoting National Historic and National Scenic Trails, PNTS is the hub and connector of trail organizations, federal agency partners and others focused on creating, stewarding and activating these valuable public resources. Over years, the National Trails System has grown and trail organizations have become more diverse in their skills and capacities, resulting in the need for PNTS to grow and evolve its programming to better meet the needs of our member organizations and the National Trails System as a whole. To address the need, PNTS seeks to expand and improve its resources, educational opportunities and next generation programs to provide greater access to best practices resources for the National Trails community. This is a great opportunity for a young person to get their start in the public lands and trails community. This job offers the ability to participate in professional development and opportunities to interact with nonprofit, private sector and government leaders in the public lands community that may help them in future with jobs or work relationships. This job allows the VISTA to give back to our country by strengthening our public spaces.
