About the role

The Sales Manager, Southern & Central Europe & MEA will be responsible for and contribute to, strategy, leadership, and direction of Distributors / Agents and continued growth plans set/agreed with the Director of Sales EMEA. They will take active participation in offering opinions and making decisions in accordance with the best interests of the Company and in agreement with Osprey and Hydro Flask Teams.

They will be responsible for managing Key Agents, Distributors *Key Retailer support & coordinating training across allocated region, all primarily but not limited to Southern & Central Europe (i.e. Tier 2/3 Distributors & MEA support).

What you’ll do in the role

  • Continually identify new and innovative methods to increase sales of the Osprey & Hydro Flask brands across allocated region(s)

  • Organize and direct sales and strategy meetings on a regular basis whereby the strategy and positioning of the brand are reviewed

  • Report on the success of sales campaigns on a regular basis to the Sales Director and coordinate / share this information willingly and without prompt

  • Analyze the effectiveness of all sales efforts and reassess / act independently to provide improved levels of service across all accounts / stores within region

  • Create and implement launch campaigns for new products, including presentation of products to key retailers

Sales specifics, including:

  • Managing and dealing with all sales and business relationships with an assigned group of customers in the allocated region

  • Advising customers on our new and existing product lines

  • Providing product presentations, whether at the European Head Office, customers’ stores or tradeshows

  • Providing support and a point of contact for the customers and helping them to grow sales of the products within their stores in the allocated regions

Sales and training, including:

  • Acting on the information received to improve product and service levels

  • Coordinating a complete training and support package to key partners

  • Coordinating visits to countries to conduct thorough training sessions with territory teams

Tradeshows, events, sales and product meetings and travel, including: -

  • Travelling (Southern Europe / Central Europe / MEA / Osprey & Helen of Troy HQ)

  • Helping to organize trade show stands and facilities, attending trade shows, events, sales meetings and product meetings

What will help you do the job well

🗝 Essential:

  • 7 years’ experience in management of regions, markets, Distributor sales from the assigned market’s country preferable with Sport & Outdoor companies. At least 5 years’ experience with key/e-retailers.

  • Excellent knowledge of the Sport & Outdoor Retail/Distributor scene

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), French a plus.

  • Excitement about joining a midsize yet growing company with fast-growing brands!

  • Proven track record successfully working with Marketing is an advantage.
