MobilizeGreen seeks a detail-oriented Natural Resources Intern for an 11-week, full-time summer position supporting the Planning Directorate at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Headquarters, located in either Washington, DC, or Denver, CO. As a Natural Resources intern in this role, you will rework the fund code handbook to update program workload elements and perform a variety of professional and technical functions related to natural resource management.

During your internship, you will work closely with higher-graded specialists or supervisors to resolve procedural or factual issues using established methods, guidelines, and precedents. You will conduct preliminary analysis and evaluation of policies, procedures, guidelines, and administrative processes to address conventional problems and situations with readily observable conditions. Through this position, you will enhance your skills in natural resource management, policy analysis, and administrative processes, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the BLM’s Planning Directorate.

The BLM DHA Internship program is a unique opportunity designed for current undergraduate, graduate, or PhD students to launch their natural and cultural resources careers. The intern will receive hands-on learning experience, mentorship, and coaching to complete mission-critical work while developing leadership, critical thinking, and strategic communication skills. This is a developmental program.
