The purpose of Peak Design is to create happy, meaningful lives for the people that work here. We believe this purpose can only be achieved when self-actualizing, highly stoked people enthusiastically step into (or log onto) the Peak Design office every day. Our purpose and our mission go hand-in-hand and we encourage and celebrate authenticity and the unique perspective each of our employees brings. We’re a close-knit team that thrives on mutual respect and the belief that every voice matters—especially when it’s got something interesting to say.
We make radical, meticulously-engineered gear for detail-obsessed people. Our backpacks, travel bags, camera gear, and phone accessories are used dang-near everywhere. If you’ve visited Machu Picchu, Tokyo, or an REI store in the last 10 years, you’ve been within ogling distance of a Peak Design product.
Alongside our award-winning gear is a brand that truly reflects who we are as people—passionate about design, deeply caring about our environmental and social impact, unafraid to speak up, radically transparent, and generally down to clown. Whether we’re explaining a product, running a sale, launching a nonprofit, sponsoring a film, or razzing the biggest company on Earth, we do it with our trademark honesty, warmth, and wit. Through our products and our brand, we aim to create delight, and leave this world better than how we found it.
This sales partnerships role is on the B2B wholesale team, which drives sales and retail partnerships across nearly 60 countries, making the wholesale channel our largest revenue source. Our primary objective is to empower sales partners to represent the Peak Design brand, our values, and the uniqueness of our ecosystem and sell boatloads of our products as a result. We treat our partners as peers, operate transparently, and aim to grow a sustainable and profitable business together.
We’re opening this role to gain sales and account management horsepower we need to realize the full potential of our sales strategy and programs across the Americas.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build a solid foundation for success: Learn the lore of Peak Design, and understand our industries, competitors, and our core differentiators.
  • Demonstrate fundamental business competence: Rationally negotiate business terms, assess and negotiate marketing investments, and creatively resource around initiatives.
  • Build out and execute business development plans.
  • Prospect and prioritize leads, get them into Salesforce, qualify, and close.
  • Support key accounts after you've opened them. Ensure long-lasting success for the retailer through sales enablement.
  • Grow small/mid-market core Peak Design retail accounts.
  • Travel 10-12 weeks/year for dealer visits, partner events, trade shows, and off-sites.

About You:

  • You have 3+ years of experience selling into retailers and managing major wholesale relationships

You are genuinely interested in all aspects of Peak Design, retail/brand partner operations, and the person in front of you. You can autonomously and intuitively take action that serves core sales team objectives. You are timely and responsive with your customers and your colleagues.
  • You’re open to being a road warrior and doing the high-value in-person work to get the job done.
