As the Payroll Manager for SRAM, you will be responsible for overseeing and administering all aspects of payroll processing and compliance for employees in North America (currently US + Canada).

Responsibilities


  • Process and manage accurate and timely biweekly payroll end to end for 900+ professional and manufacturing employees across multiple states & provinces and multiple entities
  • Support off-cycle payroll processing as required
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistent and efficient operations. Serve as subject-matter expert, educating employees on SRAM policies, and managing quick resolution of any payroll issues
  • Reconcile, research and partner with UKG on payroll tax filings, variances and outstanding notices; including quarterly and annual reports. Partner with finance team to reconcile
  • Complete bi-weekly post-payroll process, including funding HSA/FSA/LSA and 401(k) accounts as well as resolving any discrepancies with pay checks and employee accounts
  • Stay up to date with federal, state, and provincial payroll compliance and tax regulations in North America to ensure that payroll practices remain in compliance
  • Complete year end processes, including generating year-end statements such as W-2s, 1099s, and T4s; updating deduction rates, limit codes, pay calendars, and expat year end gross up
  • Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy. Manage and optimize payroll systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Manage timeclocks and time & attendance set-ups to support time tracking
  • Lead internal and external audits related to payroll, such as 401(k), payroll and worker's compensation. Provide necessary documentation and support during audit processes

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Human Resources, Finance or related discipline required, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5 years’ knowledge of / experience in processing multi-state payroll, international payroll experience preferred
  • Proficiency in using payroll software (UKG preferred), Excel, and HRIS systems
  • Strong understanding of local, state, an international payroll regulations and tax laws
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work with confidential data
  • Outstanding credibility through living the core values
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively cross-functionally
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and people
