Position: Product Manager, OXO

Department: OXO Product Development for Kitchen Electronics

Work Location: New York, NY, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

Hybrid Schedule: Helen of Troy associates enjoy the advantages and flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for in office 3 days minimum, and remote 2 days. Any changes to this working model would be communicated accordingly.

What you will be doing:

The Product Manager is responsible for handling the new product development process from concept to launch by coordinating and leading market research, product planning, pricing, positioning, packaging, promotions, communications, and identifying and managing external design and manufacturing resources. The product manager will lead all aspects of product categories and products currently on the market, manage pricing, maintain quality, and recommend marketing and distribution changes, as needed. This person will also conduct strategic analysis of product categories and supports the Category Director in developing strategic plans of their product categories.

  • Identify new product opportunities

  • Handle and maintain product schedule

  • Conduct consumer research to unlock new product ideas, understand user’s needs, validating pricing points, features and benefits hierarchy

  • Quoting and finalizing pricing for new products based on margin requirements

  • Design firm management

  • Collaborate and partner with engineering to develop new products and find opportunities and risks

  • Post launch management

  • Advise and oversee packaging development

  • Overseeing compliance process for New Product Development

  • Analyzing category business financials and Identifying action Items to protect, maintain or grow business

  • Monitor existing product and category performance financially

  • Monitor health of product presentation at retail (In-stores and ecomm)

  • Updating product and packaging to meet evolving compliance standards, consumer trends and behaviors, competitive landscape, and brand initiatives.

  • Participate in process improvement

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to prioritize/balance projects and multi-task

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Detail oriented and have good follow-through skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Has ability to work with a diverse team and suppliers across different countries and time zones

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent

  • 2+ years’ of relevant experience in product development and consumer products

  • Computer software: Excel, MS Office Suite

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Consumer Electrics industry knowledge

  • Oracle

  • Database systems

  • Experience with product performance testing and/or user research

In New York City, the standard base pay range for this role is $91,197.69 - $136,796.53 annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
