Position: Latin America - Brand Assistant

Department: Marketing

Work Location: Office is in the South of Mexico City. Eligible candidates should reside in the Metropolitan area.

Hybrid Schedule: Helen of Troy associates enjoy the advantages and flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for in office 3 days minimum, and remote 2 days. Any changes to this working model would be communicated accordingly.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for handling the day-to-day execution and communication of physical and digital brand marketing strategies for the Beauty brands.

  • Monthly calendars of social media.
  • Follow-up to the monthly SM reports and review digital investments.
  • Influencers and media plans to support the launching of new products in LATAM.
  • Follow-up to the monthly PR reports and review investments.
  • Develop annual marketing plans in conjunction with sales team input to support initiatives in the must win clients.
  • Gathers and presents internal and market research data to support marketing plan development.
  • Collaborates with internal team to brainstorm all elements of the marketing plan.
  • Monitors driven activity and industry trends and offers insights to support business objectives.
  • Analysis of the Mexican market and competition for sales (twice a year).
  • Dominance of OBI and competitive analysis (reporting of net sales).
  • Working closely with the US team to implement strategies and plans for appliances in LATAM.
  • Participate in the NPD process from concept inception through market introduction and local initiatives to drain inventories.
  • New Item Set up and follow-up of the creation of new codes in oracle system for LATAM.
  • Monitoring and coordination for the development of new products in LATAM.
  • Contact with sourcing team in China for the process of development of the new products, approval of the samples and costs.
  • Artwork development of new projects in LATAM – forefront with the US team.
  • Providing materials on time for LATAM to ensure the placement of the new sku’s: pricing, updated sell sheets, delivery of samples, banners, instore materials, artworks, planograms).
  • Translations of sales materials and assets.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong ability to handle stressful situations
  • Willing to travel occasionally
  • Deep knowledge of website development, digital marketing tactics/tools and online metrics for succes
  • Self-starter that is creative, problem solver, proactive and driven by metrics
  • Excellent follow-thru, detail oriented and hands on approach to proactively handling and advising multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly present ideas and information
  • Forward thinking individual who seeks new digital approaches to lead our categories
  • Proven understanding of marketing concepts and consumer behavior
  • Upbeat, personable, positive, flexible, can-do attitude

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
  • 2+ years of confirmed marketing experience in the position and proven track record of achieving results
  • High level of proven English (spoken and written)
  • Proficient with Microsoft office, oracle and project management programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure in LATAM markets/Multinational companies
  • Have handled at least 1 direct report (trainee / intern)
  • Passionate about social media – know how of influencer recruitment
